When the whispers to change have begun to roar, the time has come to reimagine leadership.
For CEOs around the world, there’s simply no denying it: Change is afoot.
And while they most often enter conversations with me with a business issue top of mind – whether it’s growth, strategic planning, OKRs, or team cohesion — it doesn’t take us long to uncover that there is something more in play.
As I see it, it’s this “something more” that comes first. When we use that to set course and steer through the changes that are needed, you’ll see the results in your business, your life, and the world at large.
Reimagining leadership in this way provides CEOs with an expanded perspective of what to change and a simple, actionable framework for how to change it.
I know a thing or two about change.
After more than two decades growing and scaling multiple businesses, I was about to turn fifty and thinking deep thoughts. When a serious issue arose in my family, all the time I thought I had was gone. There was no space in the life that I had built. I needed something more.
So I built a drift boat in our garage. And when the boat was done, I took a month-long sabbatical with my family for a float trip. There we were… on the river, fishing, swimming, watching the eagles and the stars… and the phone calls from the office just kept coming.
This was not the “something more” I had envisioned. So I left my job, trained as an executive coach, and started Step Change Leader coaching and consulting group in 2016. And then I acquired the Institute for Generative Leadership to bring this work to next generation leaders around the world.
All change begins with a conversation.
COACHING
In my work with CEOs, our process is always grounded in who you are and what matters most to you, and the nuts and bolts of our work together are tailored to meet your personal needs and situation. This means it takes a variety of forms. We can meet in person or online; have conversations between the two of us or with your whole team; or you can fly me in for offsite trainings or key meetings. Let’s talk about it.
SPEAKING
For CEOs and other chief executives looking to develop leadership, increase engagement, or ramp up growth, Greg leads a provocative conversation about letting go of “what is” in order to free up space and energy for new and better possibilities.
A BIT ABOUT GREG
Greg has spent decades growing and scaling successful mid-market companies as President & CEO. As an Executive Coach and Consultant, Greg has worked with Founders, CEOs, and Leadership Teams to transform their organizations and teams.
Since 2007, Greg has been active locally, nationally, and globally with the Young President’s Organization (YPO), serving as chapter chair, learning officer, and Regional Champion for the Leadership Development Network. As part of his own process of reimagining leadership, Greg planned and hosted several YPO leadership development events, including an award-winning presidents’ retreat that had eighty CEOs glamping in the Utah desert. Now, what Greg values most are the small forums, where leaders and teams have the space to talk about what really matters to them and use that to serve other people… and the world.
